KUALA LUMPUR, MON:
Kulim Bandar Baru Member of Parliament Zulkifli Nordin brushed aside talks that he had left Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).
"I'm campaigning for (PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri) Anwar (Ibrahim).
"I was with him yesterday and back at Permatang Pauh later, so this should
answer your question (whether I've left)," he said at the parliament
lobby today.
Speculations were rife in cyberspace that Zulkifli had left the party following his antics lately.
On Aug 9, he disrupted a Bar Council forum on conversion and Islam.
Last Thursday, he labelled fellow Pakatan Rakyat member Chong Eng (DAP-Bukit Mertajam) as "racist" and "anti-religious".
It is no secret that his antics had not gone down well with some party leaders.
PKR vice-president R. Sivarasa said Zulkifili's remarks were uncalled for and unparliamentary.
Zulkifli said he does not understand how the rumours started, stressing that he
had no intentions whatsoever in leaving the party.
